Popular Firework Types for Bonfire Night 2026
01
Single Ignition Display Cakes
Cakes (also called barrages) are multi-shot devices that you light once to produce a complete sequence of aerial effects - colour bursts, crackles, strobes, brocades and more. Common shot counts range from 25 up to 200 or more, with durations from around 30 seconds to well over a minute.
02
Rockets and Rocket Packs
03
Fountains, Wheels and Ground Effects
Nothing says Bonfire Night quite like a rocket screaming into the night sky before exploding in a single, dramatic burst. Rockets deliver height and spectacle that everyone associates with Bonfire Night.
Fountains throw showers of sparks and colour without high-altitude bangs. Fountains and wheels are suitable for domestic gardens as they produce lower-velocity sparks, and they add old-school Bonfire Night charm - Catherine wheels spinning on a fence post are a sight that never gets old.
04
Low-Noise and Pet-Friendly Choices
Real Fireworks stocks specially selected low-noise barrages, fountains and mines that deliver whoosh and crackle rather than sharp bangs.
05
Sparklers and Family Favourites
Classic sparklers and dazzling handheld fountains – perfect for adding a little extra excitement to your celebrations!
06
Family Bundles
Ready-made selections for every budget. Ask us and we'll help you build your display.

Choosing Fireworks for Your Garden Size

UK Legal Times for Bonfire Night Fireworks
Fireworks vary in size, effects and safety requirements, making it important to choose products that are suitable for the available space and intended setting.
Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and ensure the recommended safety distances can be maintained before use.
Under UK law, you must not set off fireworks between 11pm and 7am on most nights of the year. However, the legal curfew for setting off fireworks on Bonfire Night is midnight, giving you an extra hour on 5 November.
FIREWORKS FOR
Bonfire Night
Bonfire Night only comes once a year, and the difference between a forgettable fizzle and a spectacular fireworks display comes down to what you buy and where you buy it. At Real Fireworks, every customer walks out with a show designed for their garden, their budget and their audience - not just the biggest box on the shelf.
